Early morning patrol leads to swift arrest
Quick-thinking police officers in Upington apprehended a burglary suspect during the early hours of Monday, 21 July 2025, after spotting suspicious activity while on routine patrol in the Middelpos residential area.
The members were conducting patrols in the neighbourhood when they noticed something out of the ordinary near a residence. As they moved closer to investigate, an unidentified man bolted from the property on foot, prompting an immediate pursuit.

The arrested man, aged 35, faces a charge of burglary and is expected to make his first appearance in a local court in the coming days.
